A match in Nickelodeon Basketball Stars begins with both teams competing for possession and trying to reach 21 points first. A normal successful shot gives your team two points, so maintaining possession and finding open opportunities is important. The faster scoring option is the Mega Dunk, which becomes available after the power meter fills.
Besides, if your teammate has possession, move toward the opposing players and attack them with the Spacebar.
